Crofty built our chain-plates (things that the wires from the mast go to and hold the mast up) yesterday while I watched and learnt--time well spent.
The lay up was very straight forward, it was the mould making that was interesting to get the carbonfibre uni to go and stay where it was needed. Pretty straight forward once you've seen it done, I can now make the forestay fitting as well as the bridle and spinnaker fittings at the transom.
All built, so now I have to give them a bit of a clean up and fair to make them pretty. Not sure why we only have one instead of the usual two or three points but the theory is the two wire fittings will go nicely into the one super strong chain-plate fitting.

I have also started on the cock-pit corners in foam--looking good I reckon.
. And the cabin top is also finally starting to look good after being glassed on the inside (so it's now got nearly all it strength) and I've bogged all the big hollows so they're finally gone.
