Fairing the bottom and stuff

Charlene was flipped upside down with the help of a few mates last weekend and the work began again on the bottom.
I laid on some epoxy bog to start fairing the new bow section (finally) and then called in extra hands to help with the sanding, thanks Crofty. I start studies again in a couple of weekends and my spare time will disappear with that so I need to get this project done soon.
The sanding of the bow section is all but done, maybe a couple of hours of sanding/bogging and it will be time to re-paint the hull.

While all this is being done, over the last few weeks I have been making a keel bulb mould and cast (made of mortar) to produce the new 120+kg bulb. I plan to pour the new bulb this Sunday.

The new bulb case on the left, made of mortar, And the keel blade getting a bit of a tart up.

 Nice!

Also, I am doing odd jobs like re-fairing the keel and a couple of minor bumps on the hull near the transom.
Looking very nice!

On a shittier note, our current insurance company is just not playing the game and looks like they're not going to pay out anything, We have now been waiting almost a month and they still haven't even come to look at our broken mast and are basically telling us over the phone that they will not replace the mast without even looking at our current one. They have been telling us for the last two weeks that they are sending someone out to look.
Thankfully a friend has a carbon mast that fits the bill and hip pocket for our needs and we will be picking that mast up next weekend. After we get that mast we will need to spend some money on it for new spreaders (with help from our resident pro, Crofty, these will be also carbon) and base etc but nothing too scary.
