Cruising sails

Trial fitted the cruising sails this afternoon just for the hell of it. The main is an 87' model 16ft skiff main and is main from Dacron. It is a bit dirty but it looks like it's never been used and goes within about 600mm of a full hoist for us so it's pretty much perfect.
The shape of the 87' model skiff sails are interesting to say the least.

I couldn't hoist any further because of the rope around the spreader leading to the trailer winch for getting the forestay on at the moment without halyards yet.

We had acquired about 8 headsails and I have gone through them and ran a couple up and we are now down to one ex 12ft skiff maylar shagger. All the old Dacron jibs required a re-cut to come close to fitting and they just weren't worth the money to do it so they've been tossed. The one maylar jib we've kept, which is even smaller than the one below, even has 'speed' holes in the foot so it probably wont last long. This one below in the photo is one of the ones I tossed in the bin.
