Mast rigging/ stepped

During the past three weeks we have been sourcing a retailer to get rigging stuff, turnbuckles etc. We ended up using Muir Marine Chandlery and we're happy with the service so far.

Donna went to Muir's Friday to pick up our pre-cut wires with the t-balls already swaged on. Today (Sunday) Laurie came around and we stood the mast for the first time, all went well, and we were able to cut the shrouds to length. Sometime this week Donna will got back to Muir's and have the toggle swages (turnbuckles) swaged onto the shrouds.

Next weekend or the following weekend (sometime soon) we will stand the mast again to get an accurate forestay measurement. We have a furler on the forestay so there is not turnbuckle on the forestay so the length needs to be accurate first go.

Next is to finish the mast, we still need a couple of exit blocks and all the halyards run. After that it's time to do my favourite job--cast the lead metal bulb....booo!
